Hi ! We are Nicole and Amy - co founders of The Porch Sisters.

We are local residents of Downers Grove and alumni of DGN and U of I. We were born and raised here, returning back to DG to raise our families.

Usually with a coffee in hand, we have shared our love for designing, often each other’s spaces both inside and out. Each fall season we have collaborated on how to make our front porches even better than the season before.

One early morning with coffee in hand, we sat on Nicole’s porch talking about all things Fall, pumpkins and mums. When Amy mentioned, we should design other people’s front porch as a sister project. This is when “The Porch Sisters” was created.

On the other side of porch design, Nicole is a mom of two boys and a VP of sales. She enjoys spending her weekends watching her boys’ basketball and baseball games or a quiet weekend at her lake house. Amy, is a mom of three and a clinical psychotherapist. When Amy is not in sessions, she is coaching her daughters’ in sports or hanging out with her family. You can usually find either of us on own front porches or each others and always with a coffee.

Our professional worlds meet design through thoughtfulness and results. We are so glad you found us! We look forward to working with you, creating a colorful and peaceful place to enter your home.
